Arman Yeghoyan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, said he does not know whether Azerbaijani energy specialists have visited Armenia and can neither confirm nor deny such a visit, Sputnik Armenia reported.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that, within the framework of TRIPP, Azerbaijani specialists had conducted an analysis on Armenian territory and identified locations where power transmission line pylons could be installed.
“I do not have such information, but I cannot say with absolute certainty. If we are implementing some joint project, we need to understand that we are unblocking regional communications, which involves certain work on the ground… There are countless technical infrastructure issues, and it would be perfectly normal for the two states to work together. I can neither confirm nor deny this information, but if it turns out tomorrow that it is confirmed, that would be perfectly normal,” he said.
According to Yeghoyan, it should be understood that in the process of unblocking regional communications, the sides must carry out joint, comprehensive technical work, including landscape surveys, and cooperation between specialists is entirely normal.
