Cases of children being poisoned by medicines and household chemicals have increased, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said during a Facebook livestream.
She appealed to parents and relatives of children, urging them to keep medicines and chemical substances in places inaccessible to children.
“Cases of children being poisoned by medicines and household chemicals have increased. While 256 such cases were recorded in the first half of 2025, the number reached 464 in the first half of 2026.
She also noted that the number of deaths has stabilized.
These concerning statistics compel all of us to be more vigilant at all times and everywhere,” she said.
