Former National Assembly member Martun Grigoryan has been remanded in custody for two months. Lawyer Arsen Babayan reported this on his Facebook page.
Grigoryan was detained early in the morning on Aug. 13. The Anti-Corruption Court hearing on whether to impose detention as a preventive measure began at 7:30 p.m. and lasted 4.5 hours, Sputnik Armenia reports.
The Anti-Corruption Court said Grigoryan had been detained as part of criminal proceedings initiated in connection with an alleged electoral offense.
