Armenia national team captain and Al Ahli newcomer Eduard Spertsyan marked his Saudi Pro League debut with a winning goal. In the opening round of the Saudi Pro League, Al Ahli secured a 1-0 away victory over Al Diriyah thanks to a goal from the 26-year-old Armenian midfielder.
Spertsyan started the match and scored in the 25th minute. The Armenia captain was substituted in the 90th minute, Factor.am reports.
Eduard Spertsyan joined Al Ahli from Russian club Krasnodar on July 7 and signed a four-year contract with the Saudi club. Al Ahli won bronze medals in last season’s Saudi Arabian championship and is the reigning Asian Champions League winner.
