Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan met U.S. House of Representatives member Abraham Hamadeh on Aug. 19, the Security Council Office reported.
During the meeting, the two officials addressed regional developments and issues related to the TRIPP project. The sides also discussed other topics of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had earlier approved in Washington a document on Armenia-U.S. joint work within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP, program.
The published document on TRIPP implementation outlines the procedure for launching the initiative. This framework does not create and is not intended to create legal commitments or obligations for Armenia or the U.S.
