Local self-government elections will be held in several communities on Sept. 27. The campaign for elections to be held under the proportional representation system in the Tumanyan community of Lori Province began on Sept. 2 and will end on Sept. 25, the Central Electoral Commission said.
The campaign for elections to be held under the majoritarian system in the communities of Lermontovo in Lori Province, Arzni in Kotayk Province and Ferik in Armavir Province will begin on Sept. 7 and end on Sept. 25.
The Central Electoral Commission also said that during the election campaign, as well as on the day before voting and on election day, candidates and parties participating in the elections are prohibited from personally, on their behalf or by any other means providing or promising voters money, food, securities or goods free of charge or on preferential terms, as well as providing or promising services.
The placement of campaign posters, printed campaign materials and other materials on or inside general education schools, catering and retail establishments, elevators, public transport and taxis is also prohibited.
In addition, it is prohibited to remove or tear campaign posters, printed campaign materials and other materials, write on them or damage them in any other way.
