Ruben Rubinyan, Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, met on September 7 with Andrea Barbara Baumann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Armenia, and discussed the need to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The ambassador congratulated Ruben Rubinyan on his election as Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly and wished him success.
Particular emphasis was also placed on the importance of developing interparliamentary ties.
The two also discussed issues related to regional security and stability.
National Assembly Vice President Hayk Konjoryan also met with Swiss Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Andrea Barbara Baumann. Konjoryan highlighted Armenia-Switzerland relations and cooperation in various fields. Addressing parliamentary cooperation, the National Assembly vice president noted that friendship groups would soon be formed in parliament, including the Armenia-Switzerland Friendship Group.
