Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan said law enforcement agencies should have dealt with former Civil Contract faction MP Hayk Sargsyan long ago.
Addressing his former colleague’s claims that a bill he introduced concerning online casinos was not debated in parliament on Alen Simonyan’s instructions, the Security Council secretary said he had not participated in discussions concerning any bill submitted to the National Assembly, Auroranews.am reports.
“I did not express any opinion, discuss the substance, have anything to do with it, read it or discuss it in any other way. I repeat: everything he is talking about is something law enforcement agencies are obliged to investigate,” he said.
In an earlier interview, Hayk Sargsyan made several notable statements concerning Alen Simonyan.
According to Sargsyan, his first serious disagreement with Alen Simonyan arose over legislative initiatives targeting gambling and bookmaking activities. He claimed Simonyan had attempted to create obstacles for the bill and had provided the prime minister with inaccurate information about his position.
