Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, received Vassilis Maragos, head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, on October 12, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation. The meeting was announced on the official Facebook page of the Strong Armenia alliance.
Welcoming his guest, Vardevanyan expressed confidence that joint work with the European Union would be constructive and productive. The ambassador likewise voiced confidence that cooperation would yield positive results.
The deputy speaker expressed gratitude to the European Parliament for adopting a resolution that also calls for the immediate release of Armenian political prisoners and prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan.
Narek Karapetyan, head of the Strong Armenia parliamentary faction, faction secretary Tigran Abrahamyan and faction member Harutyun Harutyunyan also met with Vassilis Maragos, head of the European Union Delegation and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, on October 12.
Welcoming the ambassador, Karapetyan emphasized that the Strong Armenia party’s strategy is aimed at deeper integration with the European Union and the introduction of European standards and institutions in Armenia.
