U.S. diplomat discusses TRIPP initiative with Martuni residents

U.S. Deputy Ambassador to Armenia Andrew Johnson met with residents of Martuni and presented the TRIPP project, known as the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.

He also answered questions from those attending the meeting.

“The regional connectivity envisioned under TRIPP will strengthen peace and stability, open up new economic opportunities, and support Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the publication stated.

On June 4, Armenia and the United States signed a framework agreement concerning TRIPP in a virtual ceremony. The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on behalf of Armenia and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on behalf of the United States.
