Camera traps operating in the Khosrov Forest State Reserve have once again captured bezoar goats in their natural habitat.
The bezoar goat is considered the ancestor of the domestic goat.
“Bezoar goats are characteristic inhabitants of mountainous landscapes. They are excellent climbers on rocky slopes and feed on grasses, leaves and young shoots of shrubs.
Conserving this species is important for preserving Armenia’s biodiversity and maintaining the balance of its ecosystems,” the post said.
