Armenia exports flowers to 30 countries in 2026

Armenia exported 908.6 tonnes of flowers to 30 countries between the beginning of 2026 and October 12, expanding the number of export destinations compared with the previous year.

The figures were announced on Facebook by Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She noted that Armenia continues to diversify its foreign economic ties by expanding the presence of Armenian products in international markets.

“From January 1 to October 12, 2026, Armenia exported 908.6 tonnes of flowers to 30 countries, including neighboring countries (Turkey, Iran and Georgia), as well as markets in Europe (14 European Union member states, Switzerland, Moldova, Ukraine and Serbia), the Middle East (the United Arab Emirates and Oman), Central Asia (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan), and North America (the U.S.).

“It is important to note that the geographical reach of flower exports has expanded significantly compared with the same period last year. While exports last year were limited to France, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Georgia and the Russian Federation, 23 new markets have been added to the list of destinations this year.

“Among European Union countries, Armenian flowers have already been ‘welcomed’ in the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Romania and France.

“On October 10, the European Union’s autonomous trade measures (ATMs) for Armenia entered into force,” she wrote.

Since June 2, Russia’s agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of cherries, sweet cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines and grapes from Armenia. Earlier, restrictions had also been introduced on several vegetable crops exported from Armenia. Russia has also banned imports of Armenian Jermuk mineral water, flowers, fish products and certain alcoholic beverages.
