Arman Tsarukyan, who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has said he is ready to fight Australian representative Alexander Volkanovski for the lightweight championship title, Sport24.ru reports.
“Yes, why not? I would fight him. He is a strong opponent, although he is already getting a little old. For me, this is a perfect fight,” Tsarukyan said in an interview with the Helen Yee Sport YouTube channel.
Volkanovski had also previously not ruled out a fight against Tsarukyan.
On October 24, 38-year-old Alexander Volkanovski successfully defended his lightweight championship belt. He defeated Russian fighter Movsar Evloev by technical knockout, retaining his championship title.
