Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen toured the Moon Rose greenhouse in Armenia, where discussions focused on increasing flower exports to the Dutch market.
Berendsen, accompanied by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan, toured the greenhouse, which specializes in flower cultivation, and was briefed on the Armenian side’s proposals and considerations regarding increasing exports to the Netherlands.
At a joint press conference with Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan, Berendsen also addressed economic issues, particularly the challenges facing the floriculture industry.
“One of the challenges is diversifying exports by finding alternative markets beyond Russia. The Dutch side is ready to support this effort,” he said.
