Armenian authorities have extradited a 44-year-old U.S. citizen wanted internationally on child sexual abuse charges after locating him in the city of Gyumri, Armenia’s Interior Ministry Police reported.
The man had been on Interpol’s wanted list since April 8, 2024, with a detention order issued against him.
According to police, Armenian and U.S. law enforcement agencies conducted joint operational and investigative measures that led to the discovery of the suspect at a private house on Sundukyan Street in Gyumri.
The operation involved law enforcement officers from Armenia’s Shirak Province working in cooperation with their U.S. counterparts.
On October 30, the suspect was handed over to U.S. law enforcement authorities.
