AZERBAIJAN CAN PROFIT BY POLITICAL CRISIS IN ARMENIA AND LIBERATE ITS TERRITORIES BY FORCE, SUPPOSED IN BAKU

If the situation in Armenia turns to chaos or tensed internal confrontation, Azerbaijan will get the opportunity to make use of it and liberate the seized territories by force of arms, as reported by Echo Baku newspaper, Azeri political scientist Rasim Musabekov stated. In his words, in this case Azerbaijan will act the same way “Armenians acted in their time taking occasion of the civil opposition in Azerbaijan caused by the operations launched by Suret Guseynov to seize the territories surrounding Nagorno Karabakh”. However, to all appearances it will not go so far, the political scientist said. At the same time he did not rule out that the “Armenian party will try to use the opportunity either to solve the Karabakh problem in its favor or to freeze the situation” In Rasim Musabekov’s words, to achieve this objective Armenians can throw down their own government and while the new government adjusts to the situation undergoing pressure from outside, time will pass, he considers. “I suppose, it is useless to await peaceful settlement of the conflict.
