Turkey will need no less than 10 years to enter the European Union, French President Jacques Chirac stated at today’s press conference devoted to issues of the EU enlargement. “The talks on Turkey’s accession to the EU will take long and will last 10 years or more,” he said. In the French President’s opinion, “conditions for accession to the European Union are not formed in Turkey yet,” Interfax news agency reported.
