In connection with the 100-th birthday of outstanding Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, Yerevan city administration announced a contest for the best project of the monument to be erected in Moscow. As reported in the press office of Yerevan city administration, sculptors not only from Armenia but also from Russia may participate in the competition. It should be noted that the other day Moscow mayor Juri Luzhkov promised to help with providing a worthy place for the monument and pedestal construction.
