Today Armenian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Levon Khachatryan presented credentials to President Nursultan Nazarbayev. “We hope Kazakhstan’s stand over delicate issues in Armenia’s foreign policy and those referring to complicated relations with one of the neighboring states will remain balanced as before. The Kazakh President stood at the origins of establishment of the armistice in our region, thus I am very pleased to be the Ambassador to the friendly country,” Khachatryan remarked at a press briefing. “I will do my best to expand relations between our countries. The distance between Armenia and Kazakhstan does not allow speaking of high rate of development of commercial and economic relations, however resources for improvement are always available,” he added. The commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Armenia was $45.2 million in 2005, which 3 times exceeds the indicators of 2004 ($15.1 million), reported Kazakhstan Today.
