Neighbor States Shouldn’t Participate in Peacekeeping Mission in Karabakh

Neither neighbor states nor the co-chair states should participate in the peacekeeping mission in Karabakh, U.S. Ambassador John Evans stated at today’s news conference. “It’s premature to speak of the mandate and terms of deployment of peacekeepers in the Karabakh conflict region until agreement on settlement is not achieved,” he told journalists. To remind, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Karel De Gucht stated January 25 in Yerevan that negotiations on peacekeeping mission in the Karabakh conflict region are held with the member-states of the OSCE military alliances at present.
