Serge Sargsyan Considers Selling 5th Energy Block of Hrazdan Thermal Plant Very Profitable

Armenian MOD Head, co-chair of the Armenian-Russian Interparliamentary Commission Serge Sargsyan called the deal on selling the 5th energy block of Hrazdan thermal plant to Gazprom company “very profitable.” “People, who call to question the expediency of the deal, do not know what the 5th energy block is,” he said. In his words, the 5th energy block is like a three-storied building, which only has a ground floor. Mr. Sargsyan criticized the approaches of forces, which reject profitable economic proposals only because these issue from the Russian party. “The word “Russia” has the same influence on those people, as the red color on a bull. I do not think those forces are powerful. They are hysterical, and these two are different things. We should turn this down, as we do not have the right to create problems for ourselves and then overcome these by heroic efforts,” Sargsyan said.
