President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan extended condolences to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev over the death of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the RA leader’s press office reported.
The message states:
“The people of Armenia learned with great sorrow of the death of the great humanist and writer, a monumental person, Alexander Solzhenitsyn. A unique amalgam of his life – his personal tragedy, as well as sufferings and creative work – has become a symbol of human willpower, strength, and faith.
The life of individuals, such as Alexander Solzhenitsyn does not end with their physical existence.
Such a moral, spiritual, and creative source has no end. For a long time the legacy left by Sozhenitsyn will be a guiding star for the spiritual and moral education of the generations. I express my condolences to you, family and friends of Alexander Solzhenitsyn and the people of Russia.”
