It’s first of all important to clarify who is interested in destabilization of Iran, an Armenian expert said.
“There are forces wishing to control the entire region. The matter is not gas or the Kurdish issue but a big game. These forces want to cast Iran into controllable chaos like it was done in Iraq,” Sergey Shakaryants told reporters in Yerevan.
Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter what forces he means exactly, Mr. Shakaryants said, “The United States and pro-American forces in the European Union.”
“Banners written in English the Iranian demonstrators were carrying is an odd phenomenon for an Islamized country like Iran,” he emphasized. “English was arguably an address to the West rather than to the country’s authorities.”
At that, Shakaryants noted that it will be hard to shake Iran, the most steady country in the region, whose stability is based on Islamic solidarity.
