The Armenian Ministry of Diaspora has established a special prize to best Diaspora director at Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The prize was bestowed on Iranian Armenian director Varuzh Karim-Masihi.
“Unfortunately, Varuzh Karim-Masihi could leave Iran because of the internal tensions,” Ministry representative Hakob Asatryan told news conference. “He shot a wonderful film and we will hand him the prize as soon as he arrives in Armenia.”
