Ahmet Davutoglu: Armenia-Turkey process irreversible

Upon his return to Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu discussed normalization of Armenia-Turkey ties with representatives of intellectual elite.

According to the Foreign Minister, to reach an agreement with Armenia is a matter of a few weeks.

At the same time, Mr. Davutoglu was suggested to slacken focus on Baku while attempting to normalize ties with Armenia.

Turkish FM characterized Armenia-Turkey process as irreversible, adding that Turkey will not allow freezing or withdrawal of Protocols.

Still, as he noted, Ankara can’t establish any relations with Yerevan without taking Baku into consideration. “Armenia-Turkey border can be closed once again in case of resumption of hostilities in Karabakh,” Milliyet cited him as saying.
