On July 5, 2010 the Supreme Court of Georgia rejected to consider the verdict for Ruben, Vahagn and Armen Chakhalyans.
“The court ruling is concordant with the Georgian authorities’ toughening policy towards Armenians of Javakhk,” Vahagn Chakhalyan, who is serving his sentence in a Rustavi jail, said in a statement.
“The authorities respond to international community’s concerns with disinformation, denying the facts of discrimination against the Armenian population,” he said. “I will address all international institutions to demand justice for me and my family members.”
