YEREVAN, June 1. /Mediamax/. Chairman of the parliamentary commission for foreign affairs, Hovanes Hovanesian said in the interview to Mediamax that the level of Armenian-Georgian inter-parliamentary relations was “not pleasing”.
According to him, parliamentarians of both countries more often meet within the framework of international forums, rather than on two-sided basis. These contacts should be intensified, Hovanesian stressed.
Hovanesian told Mediamax on May 14th that the visit of the head of the Georgian parliament Zurab Zhvania to Yerevan, planned this June, is postponed for indefinite time. According to him, it is due to the institutional changes in Georgia, as a result of which Zhvania may be offered the post of the prime minister of the country. –0–
