Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that he has decided to appoint a number of graduates from the world’s leading universities to senior positions in Armenia’s public administration system. He shared the announcement on his Facebook page.
A total of 1,141 applications were received. Following the review of applications and the preliminary selection process, 459 candidates, or about 40 percent of all applicants, advanced to the second stage. The average age of the candidates is 34.
“Based on the results of interviews and professional assessments, a government talent pool will be established. The education, work experience and professional skills of the candidates included in this pool will be matched with the specific needs of the public administration system.
When launching the program, I noted that candidates included in the talent pool could, over the next year, be offered employment opportunities within the public administration system or other forms of cooperation. I should note that I have already decided to appoint several applicants to senior positions, and you will soon see the formal implementation of those decisions.
