Armenia’s Investigative Committee has completed the pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings involving a parliamentary candidate from the Hayastan Alliance (identified as H.D.) and the head of one of the alliance’s campaign headquarters (identified as H.S.).
According to the Investigative Committee, the investigation established that in April and May 2026 the two suspects allegedly promised a citizen, identified as S.M., 150,000 drams to attend the alliance’s campaign rallies, presenting the payment as compensation for work performed.
The supervising prosecutor has initiated public criminal prosecution against H.D. and H.S. under Part 2 of Article 236 of Armenia’s Criminal Code on charges of offering material incentives to encourage participation in a public gathering.
The criminal case, together with the indictment, has been forwarded to the supervising prosecutor.
