Dilijan National Park land returned to state

The Anti-Corruption Court has upheld prosecutors’ claims seeking to terminate development rights over two land plots inside Dilijan National Park, paving the way for their return to the state.

The Tavush Regional Prosecutor’s Office, acting within its authority to protect state interests, filed two lawsuits with the Anti-Corruption Court against two private individuals. The lawsuits sought the compulsory termination of development rights over land plots located within Dilijan National Park measuring 0.5 hectares and 1.25 hectares respectively, with a combined cadastral value approximating the market value of 119.6 million drams, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

“By judgments issued on July 22 and July 24, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court granted the claims filed by the Tavush Regional Prosecutor’s Office,” the statement said.

Once the judgments enter into legal force, the development rights over the land plots will be terminated, and the 0.5-hectare and 1.25-hectare plots located within Dilijan National Park will be returned to the possession of the Republic of Armenia.
