The Constitutional Court will examine the constitutionality of the framework agreement on TRIPP strategic cooperation between Armenia and the United States on September 15. The court has decided to accept the case for consideration.
Constitutional Court Judge Edgar Shatiryan has been appointed rapporteur for the case. The court also decided to examine the matter under a written procedure, RFE/RL reported.
If the Constitutional Court finds that the obligations undertaken under the international agreement are consistent with Armenia’s Constitution, the document will be submitted to the National Assembly for ratification.
Earlier, the Armenian government approved a draft law on the ratification of the framework agreement on TRIPP strategic cooperation between Armenia and the United States.
