Armenia, U.S. review TRIPP progress

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Aryeh Lightstone, Senior Adviser to the U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Missions, and discussed issues related to the implementation of the TRIPP project. The two sides expressed confidence that, once technical issues are resolved, practical steps in that direction will become more visible in the near future.

Pashinyan emphasized the role of the United States, particularly President Donald Trump, in the process of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting that a stable and positive atmosphere has emerged in the region since August 8, 2025. He also stressed the importance of advancing the agreements reached and expressed satisfaction with their implementation.

Lightstone conveyed congratulations to Pashinyan from U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio on his reappointment as prime minister. He expressed confidence that, under Pashinyan’s leadership, Armenia would continue to consistently pursue its priorities and reforms aimed at strengthening democracy.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Konstantin Sokolov, President of TRIPP+ and the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Foundation, is also in Armenia.

Earlier, the Armenian government approved a draft law on the ratification of the framework agreement on TRIPP strategic cooperation between Armenia and the United States.
