Sukiasyan spokesperson says Bjni plant was seized

Anna Mkrtchyan, spokesperson for SIL Concern founder and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, said in a Facebook post that the Bjni mineral water plant had no outstanding tax liabilities.

She added that “the plant was seized, and it was seized on fabricated grounds.”

“Over the past few days, certain interested groups have once again been trying to exploit the issue of the seizure of the Bjni mineral water plant during Serzh Sargsyan’s presidency. They are spreading false reports claiming that the plant had tax liabilities.

“I would like to remind everyone once again: the Bjni plant had no outstanding tax obligations and operated exclusively using invoices, in full compliance with the law.

“Everyone knows that the plant was seized, and it was seized on fabricated grounds. The factory was audited for months and did not have even one dram in unpaid taxes. Bjni was seized during the years when Serzh Sargsyan served as President of Armenia,” she wrote.

The plant previously belonged to the Sukiasyan family. It later underwent bankruptcy proceedings and court cases related to state duties, resulting in a change of ownership. It currently operates as RRR Mineral Water Factory CJSC (Bjni & Noy Company) and continues production.
