Armenia clarifies technical support for citizenship applications

The Interior Ministry’s Migration and Citizenship Service has outlined steps for resolving technical issues related to Armenian citizenship.

The service said it frequently receives emails from citizens concerning technical issues arising during procedures for granting and terminating Armenian citizenship.

“We remind you that if technical problems arise while completing an application for the granting or termination of Armenian citizenship in the electronic citizenship case management system, you can receive a prompt response by:

writing to the service’s Facebook page;

calling the service’s call center at 84-22.

Applications and inquiries can be sent to the Migration and Citizenship Service’s official email address at [email protected].

At the same time, we inform you that under Article 31, Part 1, Subparagraph ‘e’ of the Armenian Law on Fundamentals of Administration and Administrative Proceedings, an application must be signed,” the statement said.

When sending an application to the Migration and Citizenship Service’s official email address, applicants must provide a signed application containing a clearly formulated question and a copy of an identity document, or passport.

The requirement is also based on provisions of Armenia’s Law on Personal Data Protection.

“Dear citizens, please do not send unsigned applications to the Migration and Citizenship Service’s official email address regarding technical issues, and use the designated communication channels for technical assistance,” the statement said.
