Hayastan parliamentary faction leader Anna Grigoryan and secretary Artur Khachatryan met Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Sergei Kopyrkin and embassy counsellor Maria Korotina at the National Assembly.
During the discussion, faction representatives stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries’ parliaments. They also expressed concern about the current state of Armenian-Russian relations and what they described as a trend toward deterioration.
“The lawmakers emphasized that ordinary citizens, agricultural and farming enterprises, and businesses are bearing the consequences of foreign trade restrictions between the two countries,” the statement said.
During the conversation, the sides also briefly addressed the arrests of opposition leaders.
