Samvel Karapetyan, chairman of the Strong Armenia party, has declared that he will be Armenia’s next prime minister. He made the statement while speaking to reporters in the courtyard of the Anti-Corruption Court.
“I will be the next prime minister, you will applaud, and Pashinyan will applaud too,” he said.
Karapetyan added that removing Pashinyan from the post of Armenia’s prime minister requires “a sensible person, and that person is already here,” Panorama.am reports.
“I have said several times that whatever needs to be done, we will do it. I see that you and I are the ones most in a hurry to see him off. This job needs a sensible person, and now that person is already here. Let us calmly clear this up and be done with it. Yes, it is me. You may be surprised, but it is me,” he said.
The Anti-Corruption Court is set to consider the prosecution’s motion to extend Karapetyan’s house arrest.
