Ahead of COP17, the Central Bank of Armenia and the Ministry of Environment have unveiled a silver commemorative coin dedicated to the conference and created in line with environmental principles.
It is the Central Bank’s first commemorative coin made from recycled silver. No gas or other fossil fuels were used in the production process: the coin was minted entirely using solar energy, while all packaging components were made from recycled paper. The commemorative coin was issued for presentation purposes.
It not only symbolizes biodiversity conservation but also reflects COP17’s message, “Acting for Nature,” through the way it was produced.
