Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin has not yet reviewed a report on the potential consequences of suspending the application of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Treaty to Armenia.
Representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan presented a report to the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council addressing the possible consequences of suspending the application of the EAEU Treaty to Armenia.
“No, we have not reviewed it,” Peskov said when asked whether the Kremlin had already examined the submitted report, RIA Novosti reports.
The document will be submitted to the leaders of the union’s member states for further discussion and examination.
The report states that a joint decision to temporarily suspend the application of the EAEU Treaty to Armenia could be adopted through coordinated action by the four member states. Earlier reports indicated that the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is scheduled for December 2026.
