On April 10, Paris will wintess a joint rally of the Armenian and Turkish communities in France. According to Nouvelles d’Armenie, the action was organized to promote closer relations and mutual respect between the communities.
The participants of We’re Together initiative will gather in front of the monument to Komitas. The event aims to urge creation of a future “based on historic truth and openness.”
“Armenians will not close the door before the Turks who showed goodwill, just as Turks will not close their eyes in the face of the Armenians’ pain,” the statement of We’re Together initiative read.
