YEREVAN, March 7. /Mediamax/. “The U.S. Congress has allocated 90 million dollars for the realization of bilateral inter-governmental and humanitarian programs in Armenia in 2001”, head of the Armenian-American intergovernmental group William Taylor said.
Taylor positively assessed the two-day work of the group and stressed that the main topic of the discussion was the problem of improving business atmosphere in Armenia. This is the most important factor for the development of the economy, Taylor said. The American co-chairman noted that this problem also includes the question of improving the tax system of the country. “The results of the reforms, realized in tax sphere in 2000, will increase the level of trust and interest of investors in making investments into Armenia”, William Taylor said. –0–
