On April 25, President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan received a delegation of the European Union of Exiled and Expelled People (EUEEP) led by head of the organization Massimiliano Lacota.
Mr. Sahakyan praised the efforts of the union aimed at recognition and condemnation of genocides as well as protection of the rights of people suffered from conflicts, considering it among pivotal directions of human rights protection.
He noted that humanitarian issues should not be politicized and welcomed the assistance and willingness of the guests to present the issues of refugees settled in Artsakh in different European instances.
The parties noted that there are all opportunities and needed potential for cooperation.
NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan and other officials participated in the meeting, the Central Information Department of the Artsakh President’s Office reported.
