CSTO strengthens control over internet

During the informal summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan agreed to elaborate measures to contact information and cyber threats, Vedomosti daily reported.

The newspaper reminds that the March report issued by Reporters Without Borders showed that the CSTO members are exercising strict information control. In the report, Uzbekistan was ranked as the enemy of internet, while the situation in Russia and Belarus was described as “arousing concerns”.
