MAGATE is viewing the project of constructing a new modern energy
block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) as one of the variants of the development of the Armenian power engineering. As reported by the Armenian ministry of energy, the corresponding researches carried out by the MAGATE experts together with the Armenian power engineers will be published in the near future. To remind, in consideration of safety the European Union has many times raised the question of closing the ANPP. Official Yerevan states that the plant should function until the republic is provided with alternative sources of energy.
