RUSSIAN FRONTIER GUARDS DEPLOYED AT ARMENIAN FRONTIER DETAINED 60 TRESPASSERS SINCE BEGINNING OF YEAR

Since the beginning of the year the servicemen of the Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service (FSS) of Russia have detained 60 trespassers of the Armenian state border. As chief of the Frontier Department of the FSS of Russia in Armenia, major general Sergey Bondarev told “Arminfo” agency, 55 out of them were detained at the admission points of “Zvartnots” airport and Karchevan at the border with Iran. Another 5 were detained when trying to cross the border with Turkey. Specifically, two days ago Russian frontier guards detained a man, who was trying to pass to the territory of Turkey over the barbed wire entanglement. The interrogation of the transgressor did not result in anything, as he was irresponsible, Bondarev said.
