It should be noted that, according to Turan Azeri agency, the information on Armenian policemen being searched for was spread at the yesterday’s sitting of the State Commission for captives, hostages and the missing citizens of Azerbaijan. According to the source, report on the course of the investigation over the proceedings, instituted by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan November 27, 2002 on the facts of “crimes committed against Azeri captives in Armenia,” was heard at the sitting. As reported by Turan, the joint investigation group of the Office of the Military Prosecutor and the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan “has identified names of 147 Armenian policemen and fighters, accused of crimes against humanity.” Proceedings are instituted against 20 out of them and they are reported to be wanted by Interpol, the Azeri agency reported.
