We will be resolute and consistent in achieving international recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915, Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated it today upon the completion of the ceremony of laying wreaths to the Memorial of the Genocide Victims in Tsitsernakaberd. In his words, Armenia is making rather active efforts in this regard, having new achievements each year. However, much has yet to be done and resources for working for it are rather considerable, R. Kocharian emphasized. Today Armenia’s efforts are directed at establishing peace and cooperation in the South Caucasian region, he also noted. “A new, peaceful and prosperous society is being built in Armenia. In the name of such a Fatherland our sights are directed to the future,” the Armenian leader said.
