CRIMINAL GROUP, INCLUDING GEORGIAN CITIZENS, REVEALED IN YEREVAN

A criminal group, which also included Georgian citizens, is revealed by officers of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia. According to a report of the NSS press service, having ordered a large lot of spurious documentary stamps through the mediation of the Georgian citizens, the chieftain of the group – Stepanavan town resident Samvel Margarian – arranged production and sales of vodka together with Yerevan residents Aleksan Guloghlian, Armen Hovhannisian and Gurgen Nersisian. The other day 30 thousand false documentary stamps were discovered in Guloghlian’s production department, while a big amount of vodka with those stamps were withdrawn from a number of Yerevan shops. Criminal proceedings are instituted. Margarian, Hovhannisian, Nersisian and Guloghlian are detained. The preliminary investigation of the case is held by the NSS Investigation Department.
