The OSCE Office in Yerevan has expressed “deep concern” over manifestations of violence becoming more frequent in Armenia, “alarming absence of progress” in punishing the guilty and availability of an atmosphere of intolerance in the Armenian society. A letter of the OSCE Office head Vladimir Pryakhin to Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanian cites cases of recent attacks on Deputy Victor Dallakian, human rights proponent Mikhael Danielian, political scientist Ashot Manucharian. The OSCE representative regretted that the investigations of the incidents in question, as well as of cases of attacks against journalists in the course of the rallies April 5 and 13, did not provide for progress and none of the persons guilty is called to account.
