The Armenian MFA refuted the statement of Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mamedyarov, who said that the Armenian and Azeri FMs will discuss the issue “of freeing 7 Azeri regions in exchange for restoring the transport communications with Armenia” during the meeting to be held in Strasbourg May 12-13. As RA MFA press secretary Hamlet Gasparian told Arminfo agency, the agenda of the negotiations has not been fixed yet. “The statement was spread either as a result of misunderstanding or purposely”, he said. The spokesman also noted that despite Baku’s statements, the meeting of the private representatives of the Armenian and Azeri Presidents for Nagorno Karabakh is not scheduled.
