Council of Europe is for “the return of the Armenian opposition from streets to the parliament”, Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian, who met with CE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer and PACE President Peter Schieder last week, stated. In Oskanian’s words, CE leadership is unanimous on this issue. At the same time the minister mentioned of the CE’s wrong perception of the domestic situation in Armenia. Nevertheless, he said, official Yerevan has a serious attitude towards the latest PACE resolution on Armenia.
